What a great week both my wife and I had staying at your great hostel, with very clean and quiet facilities that where great, and to both Dean and Simone thank you for your help when anything was needed and that was a great help. This is just not a hostel for young people but also for us over 50, we will be back. Thank you Doug PS - will tell all our family and friends of your great place about our great stay with you. We had an amazing stay at reef lodge. Very clean, very friendly funny owner. We had a double room for ourselves whichwas cosy and clean. Wish we could have stayed longer! Beautiful hostel, loved the decorations. Biggest thing that stood out was the peace and quiet at this place, not a party hostel which was amazing! As an 'oldie' once again I'm going to stay at the Reef Lodge. My last stay 8 years ago and my holiday before then was excellent. Super clean - their noise / respect rules I greatly appreciate - and the managers are super-helpful. I particularly like the Double or Twin rooms though I've stayed in a dorm too which was also very clean, safe and quiet. Cyclone Debbie is threatening the coast atm though in the big picture, it wouldn't stop me from holiday here again! Excellent workers all-round at this backpackers... Come on people over 50 join me there!  Admin reply: Happy to see Debbie would not have put off. As it happened she didn't come any where near us. This is the best backpackers hostel in Townsville. Close to the beach and city and closest hostel to the greyhound bus stop. Stayed here for 4 days with my friends and loved the quiet layed back atmosphere. Great movie night and free popcorn. Had a free BBQ on Christmas day Thanks for everything and have a great New year.
