I lived at Reef Lodge for almost four months, & found it to be one of the nicest hostels I've stayed at. The owner/managers should be proud of the space they've created as it has a great atmosphere, beautiful gardens, as well as being clean with an abundance of modern facilities. I enjoyed how the hostel layout takes advantage of the tropical weather and common areas arReefe mostly outdoors. Since leaving Reef Lodge I find myself constantly comparing thethe hostels I'm staying at with what I experienced at Reef. The commercial sized kitchen (complete With ovens) was brilliant & usually clean, a were the dorms. I liked the fact that all the dorms and the bathrooms are mixed and the biggest dorm only slept six. The smaller room sizes and the popularity of the outdoor common areas, as well the fact that the kitchen could accommodate rush hour and still have space at the benches for others to sit and eat, made Reef Lodge feel like a cosy community. Management are very hands on, and rules are strictly enforced, but the result is a safe hostel where security never seemed to be an issue so as a guest I had more time to relax and enjoy my time there. Thanx Dino & Simone, you run a great place, now go on a holiday Admin reply: Hi Cath glade you enjoyed your stay here and thank you for the great comments. Hope you have a great trip and we may see you again. all the best dino:-)

I agree with Sean, sneaking in an outsider shows no respect for other or others safety, you should have draged him outside and amde him bite the curb then stamped on the back of his head so hard you smashed all his teeth, maybe next time he will think a little more about hostel rules whilst sucking his dinner through a straw Admin reply: Not sure if things should go quite that far, maybe you have a few anger issues you should look at but thank you for the comment.

Just booked anotha stay @ the lodge this coming week.Stayed in Feb of this year & was a nice break with Reef Lodge.I especially like the strict policy of no strangers/outsiders and no alcohol consumption after 10:30 on premises. If u want to party to the early hours and disturb others on holidays, find somewhere else, the guy caught with an outsider under his bed,i would of kicked him out on the spot, its clear he had no respect for the safety of others,****** loser. Admin reply: Hi Sean, Thank you for your nice comment and the fact that some people understand the dramas of putting up with people who have little or no respect for others. Happily these people are few and far between. Sadly they are the people who make the most noise when the get kicked out of a place for misbehaving. Thank you again! All the best dino:-)
